
The backside of the plate had two holes drilled with a hanging wire looped through, so this could definitely be put on the wall without the nail showing.
The original combination of old granny rose plate with the more modern wire holder struck me as quite weird, so I had to make those flowers disappear. I popped the plate out, spray-painted it white, then used a black Sharpie to make this symmetrical circles/dots pattern in the middle. Popped the finished plate back in and voila:

And now it's hanging in my bedroom above my husband's dresser.
Cheap. Simple. Cheap. Different. Kinda fun. :)
